Silversmith

During the pandemic of 2020, I took the leap and taught myself to silversmith! Everything I have learned is through trial and error, but it has all been worth it.

Cactus Quoll Creations

The name of my company comes from my background as both a Hispanic, raised in New Mexico surrounded by my large family, and an Australian, spending every other summer growing up visiting my Mum’s family. Both of these sides of me hold so much meaning and have made me the person that I am today. I wanted to represent myself fully in the name of my company.

The cactus part should be obvious, with New Mexico being a desert. The quoll is an small carnivorous marsupial that is native to Australia and Papua New Guinea. I have had the privilege of seeing one in the wild in Tasmania.

Stamp

This image that is stamped onto the majority of my pieces is very dear to my heart. My deceased grandfather was a rancher for many years and this is his brand. It brings a feeling of connection with my family and my heritage each time that I use it.

Designs

All of my designs are uniquely created by myself, with occasional collaborations with other artists. I am inspired by my work as a Wildlife Biologist and so most of my pieces are wildlife themed.
